VolkerGround Engineering together with our sister company, VolkerBrooks, own and operate an extensive selection of plant. This enable us to undertake sheet piling operations either on land or over water using the Linkflote pontoon system. This pontoon system is compatible with the Uniflote system and is manufactured in-house by our sister company VolkerBrooks.

Our ABI leader rigs all operate on biodegradeable hydraulic oil and we can usually match one of the rigs to most situations.
The data sheets below include the technical data for each of our rigs and a vibration estimate to enable an initial assessment of the expected levels of vibration associated with each hammer. The new and highly efficient low resonance MRZV-V series of vibrating hammers allow pile installation close to existing structures.
Vibration free techniques
We also offer ‘vibration free' techniques by utilising a rig mounted pile press which can be used on virtually all currently available pile sections, including the wide Z sections.|

Within environmentally sensitive locations where noise and vibration levels would be unacceptable VolkerGround Engineering is able to offer sheet pile installation and extraction using pile presses. This equipment is effective in both granular and cohesive soils. Virtually no noise or vibration is produced, and can be supplemented with techniques such as water jetting and pre-boring in more resistant soils. The use of pile presses also eliminates working at height providing a health and safety as well as environmental benefit.
