Darlington

In March 2007 we were approached by Barton Civil Engineering and asked to install 29 No. 7.0m long sheet piles. These piles would act as a permanent retaining wall forming the lower access to the council offices as the existing brick wall was failing.

Our leader rig was sited on a single lane road closure and installed the piles in very close proximity to the Grade 2 listed building and existing services. Due to the rigs resonance free vibro-hammer there was no damage to either the building or the services.

The contract was carried out within programme and with cost savings much to the satisfaction of Barton Civil Engineering.
