Elgin Landfall

This contract required the installation of temporary sheet piled cofferdams and trench retaining walls for the landfall works of the 468km long 34" SEAL gas pipeline connecting the Elgin/Franklin offshore gas fields to Bacton, Norfolk.

The piles were installed using our resonance free leader rig and impact driven to the required toe level through the dense sands using a 2.4t hydraulic impact hammer suspended from our 50t crawler crane.
