VolkerGround Engineering was employed by VolkerFitzpatrick to work on the Milton Keynes Gallagher Logistics Park project. The team installed a king post wall with pre-cast concrete infill panels.
The work was part of a larger project to construct a 59,000m2 warehouse at Milton Keynes Gallagher Logistics Park, including service yards and parking.
The scope of the work included 150 linear metres of 600mm diameter king post bored piles, installed using a Continuous Flight Auger rig.
VolkerGround Engineering offered a streamlined build programme, working multiple engineering solutions into one contract. The team installed both piling and concrete infill panels in the same sub-contract, awarding savings to the client on cost and programme.
