Firm foundations with Morrison Construction

Recent

VolkerGround Engineering has recently completed another contract for Morrison Construction, this time on their Forres flood alleviation scheme in Scotland.

Firm foundations with Morrisons Construction

The £650,000 sub-contract at Forres is a key part of the Moray Flood Alleviation Scheme commissioned by Moray Council. The works were carried out in two phases; the first requiring the installation of 46 tonnes of PU28 sheet piles and the second requiring the installation of 627 tonnes of PU28 sheet piles.

As well as the permanent works, 50 tonnes of temporary piles were also installed and extracted forming a dam to allow the main contractor to excavate within the river.

The works were carried out using our ABI 14/17 leader rig and were carried out on time and to budget.
